I just looked at the last date I posted–November of last year. Yikes, has it been that long!?

I guess I’m guilty of living and not blogging about it–just like the majority of folks on the planet. I admire (actually more like: amused with, amazed at…) those who seem to have a daily or even weekly set of posts about something fresh they’re involved in, or at least interested in. As I mentioned before, I can’t post much at all about my work at Apple, even though it’s highly entertaining and interesting.

I also need to avoid commenting on articles or ideas in the tech community, because some folks would wrongly assume that if I’m interested, maybe Steve is, too (wish I had that kind of influence, and the paycheck that went with it). As one commenter pointed out, pretty soon my musings would show up somewhere with much more exposure than they deserved, because SOMEBODY AT APPLE SAID IT WAS SO. Nope, don’t want that to happen. By the time I get around to being old enough to have memoirs to publish, nobody’ll want to read them anyway because, like technology in general, anything over a couple of years old is, y’know, really really ancient.

So, I’m destined to be, um, obscure.

At least my kind of obscurity pays well, and offers an interesting ride. Certainly can’t complain too much about that.

And, if you meet me on the street, please don’t ask me about when the iPhone 5 is due out. I think I’ve gotten that question, oh, about 500 times in the last few months. You’ve heard the answer that ends with “…and then I’d have to kill you…”? Where I work, the only honorable way out after the cat is freed from the bag would be to make it a murder/suicide. Nope, don’t want that to happen, so don’t ask.

Would it help to say I don’t know? Fine, then…I don’t know. Stayin’ alive…stayin’ alive…

Oh, and Happy Birthday to my very best friend and wife–Dede! She is the most sweet and wonderful person I’ve ever met, and she’s still very, very easy on the eyes.
